  • Arts and Culture

The Ireland Funds helps Belvedere Youth Club create a safe space for kids to access education and opportunities in Dublin’s inner city.  Oscar-nominated actor Barry Keoghan of The Banshees of Inisherin got his first taste of acting in the arts program of Belvedere Youth Club.

MAKING CONNECTIONS

The Ireland Funds is helping Making Connections alleviate loneliness and isolation through supports that empower older people to stay healthy and socially connected.

NO MIND LEFT BEHIND

No Mind Left Behind is an initiative designed to give promising young people from areas of social disadvantage an opportunity to complete third-level education. An annual scholarship of €4,000 is provided to cover the costs of books, accommodation, and other key expenses. Students come from the Irish Government’s DEIS (Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools) schools, a program of the Department of Education and Skills aimed at lessening educational disadvantage in primary and second-level education.

DOGS FOR THE DISABLED

Dogs for the Disabled is a nationwide charity that trains assistance dogs for children and adults living with physical disabilities. Since 2011, when its partnership with The Ireland Funds began, Dogs for the Disabled has placed hundreds of assistance/therapy dogs with families and treatment facilities across Ireland.

… these examples and many other projects have been helped by your generosity to The Ireland Funds

We thank our friends for coming together to care for Ireland.
